Venue Scouting Visit
Know the Space Before the Day Arrives
Light, angles, hiding spots — every venue tells a story.
A wedding venue holds the light of a specific hour, the shadows of a particular corridor, the magic of a hidden garden that no-one thinks to mention. The Venue Scouting Visit is my way of learning all of that in advance — walking your space, photographing reference shots, and building a mental map so that on your wedding day I can move with intention rather than improvisation.
I look for the golden-hour positions, the ceremony spots where the light falls softly, the corners that will hold a quiet moment, and the architectural details that frame a portrait. I note what to avoid and what to seek out. By the time your day arrives, I have been there before — and that knowledge is entirely in your service.
For large, complex, or unfamiliar venues — manor houses, converted barns, outdoor ceremonies, destination weddings — this visit transforms how comprehensively and confidently I can cover your day. It is not a luxury; it is preparation.
